ORLANDO, FL - One person was injured and a dog was killed after a fire broke out at a condominium complex in east Orange County Wednesday morning. At least 16 units were impacted by the blaze.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that the fire happened at the Colonial Landings condominiums, located in the 2200 block of Grenwich Avenue, at about 8 a.m. By the time firefighters arrived at the scene, the ground floor of the building was engulfed in flames, which were spreading to its upper levels.
They were able to extinguish the fire, but not before one person had been injured by smoke inhalation and a dog had died. 22 people, including two children, were displaced by the blaze.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating the incident.
