PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL - State troopers said a woman died in a crash on Florida's Turnpike near Donald Ross Road on Sunday.
According to the Palm Beach Post, the 57-year-old woman was driving a sedan southbound near mile marker 112 just after noon when traffic came to a stop and she slammed into the back of an SUV. The SUV then crashed into another sedan.
The woman, a West Palm Beach resident, was pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
The driver of the SUV, a 70-year-old Pembroke Pines man, was seriously hurt. The driver of the third vehicle was a 29-year-old Sunrise man who sustained minor injuries.
The FHP is investigating the cause of the wreck.
