Police chase ends with crash in Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, FL – A driver crashed at an intersection in Boca Raton after being pursued by police on Sunday.

According to WPTV, authorities were chasing the vehicle after the occupants were believed to have been involved in a shooting in Boynton Beach. The car ended up crashing in the area of Glades Road and St. Andrews Boulevard.

One person was taken into custody while two others got away on foot. Investigators believe the two were picked up by someone in another vehicle.

The victim of the shooting was treated at a hospital and released. There was no immediate information on whether anyone was injured in the crash.

The scene in Boca Raton was cleared by about 1 p.m.
