Man seriously injured after driving into Lauderhill Canal

LAUDERHILL, FL – A man from Haiti has been hospitalized in critical condition after accidentally driving his vehicle into a canal during a heavy rainstorm Tuesday.

According to Local 10, 55-year-old Nerosier Valcy was caught in heavy flooding due to Tropical Storm Eta and couldn’t tell where the road ended when he drove into a canal.

Divers were able to free Valcy from his vehicle and he was immediately rushed to Broward Health Medical Center where he currently remains in critical condition.

Local 10 does not reveal precise location of the incident.
