OKEECHOBEE, FL - Florida state troopers were on the scene of a crash that killed a motorcyclist Thursday morning.
WPEC reports the motorcycle rider had stopped in the shoulder of U.S. 441 near SE 34th Avenue in Okeechobee. He was struck by a pickup truck and sustained fatal injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the victim was a 53-year-old man from Brooksville. His name was not released.
The driver of the pickup was a 33-year-old Okeechobee man who was not injured. The accident is being investigated by the FHP.
