MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL - A vehicle plowed into a Miami-Dade County restaurant Monday afternoon after the driver lost control, reports NBC Miami.
The accident happened at Walter's Coffee Shop at 17009 South Dixie Highway in Palmetto Bay. Police said an elderly woman driving a Mazda5 minivan crashed into the shop shortly before 3 p.m.
The driver was not injured but a woman inside the coffee shop at the time was taken to the hospital as a precaution. There was no immediate word on what caused the woman to lose control and crash.
Emergency crews were able to remove the vehicle from the inside of the building.
