MIAMI, FL - A Miami police officer sustained minor injuries when a fleeing driver struck the officer's car Friday night.
WSVN reports the incident happened in the area of NE 2nd Avenue and NE 79th Street. Police say the officer was trying to pull the driver over for a traffic stop when the person hit the police cruiser in an attempt to flee.
The driver took off on Interstate 95, and Miami police notified the Florida Highway Patrol for assistance.
