ATLANTIS, FL - A single-vehicle accident near a Palm Beach County hospital claimed the life of the driver, reports WPEC.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened in the vicinity of JFK Medical Center at about 8:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
An investigation determined that 58-year-old Oscar Fernandez was unable to negotiate a turn on Congress Avenue near Clubhouse Boulevard. His Toyota Sienna minivan went onto a curb and then crashed into a light pole.
Fernandez was pronounced dead of his injuries at Delray Beach Medical Center. No other injuries were reported.
