FORT PIERCE, FL - A fatal boating accident in the Intracoastal Waterway is under investigation, according to WPTV.

The incident happened at Faber Cove in Fort Pierce at about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Officials with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said 65-year-old David Michael Klein was thrown from his 23-foot Key West boat.

Klein was pulled from the water by a group of commercial fishermen. The victim—a resident of Kattskill Bay, New York— was pronounced dead at Lawnwood Medical Center.

The FWC is trying to determine what caused the accident.
