HOLLYWOOD, FL - Authorities have disclosed new details in their investigation into a fatal hit-and-run incident in Hollywood earlier this year.
WTVJ reports police have released surveillance images of the vehicle they are seeking in the case. The collision happened at about 2:15 a.m. on June 11, when an elderly man riding a mobility scooter was struck by an SUV in the 2800 block of Hollywood Boulevard.
The driver left the scene after the crash and was last seen heading onto Interstate 95. Police now say they are searching for a white GMC Yukon XL or a similar vehicle that had damage on the lower right front and lower right side.
The identity of the victim was not released.
