MARGATE, FL - A driver was injured when he crashed his car into a light pole in Broward County Wednesday morning, according to a report by WSVN.
The accident happened at the intersection of Rock Island Road and Atlantic Boulevard in Margate.
Authorities said the driver of a gray SUV hit the pole and became trapped inside the vehicle. He had to be extricated by emergency crews, and was transported to Broward Health North. No details on his condition were immediately released.
The impact of the crash toppled the light pole and also sent some electrical lines falling to the ground.
