MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL - A collision between two vehicles in Miami-Dade County claimed the life of one of the drivers.
WPLG reports a Kia SUV crashed into a Hyundai sedan at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the Gladeview neighborhood.
The Hyundai then slammed into a chain-link fence in front of a house at NW 14th Avenue and NW 77th Terrace. The driver of the Hyundai, identified by family members as 40-year-old Edward Durden, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.
Police are now searching for the driver of the Kia, who fled the scene on foot following the accident.
A candlelight vigil was planned Wednesday evening for Durden, who relatives say had just gotten married last month.
