DEERFIELD BEACH, VA - Authorities said a driver who tried to flee the scene of a crash in Deerfield Beach over the weekend has been taken into custody, WSVN reports.
The car accident happened on Interstate 95 just south of SW 10th Street on Saturday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a Chevy pickup truck collided with a small sedan in the northbound lanes of I-95. The FHP said one of the drivers involved fled the scene, but was apprehended near Fifth Terrace and 54th Street and taken into custody. The man's name was not released.
There was no immediate word on any injuries resulting from the crash, but both vehicles were damaged and towed away.
