OAKLAND PARK, FL - Investigators with the Broward County Sheriff's office are looking into the cause of a fatal crash that occurred on Commercial Blvd. Sunday morning.
According to Deerfield-News, the accident happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. within the 600 block of East Commercial Boulevard, near the intersection with Northeast 6th Avenue.
Deputies believe 35-year-old Ricardo Freitas Da Silva lost control of his 2012 Chevrolet Traverse and veered off the road, striking a concrete utility pole and a tree before coming to rest against a Tire Kingdom sign.
Emergency crews pronounced De Silva dead at the scene of the crash.
