DAVIE, FL - Officials were forced to shut down a portion of State Road 84 northwest of Davie early Wednesday morning.
According to the Miami Herald, the accident occurred near the intersection of State Road 84 and Hiatus Road. Troopers believe the 30-year-old male driver of a black Audi lost control of his vehicle and careened into a wall.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Further investigation revealed he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
This portion of State Road 84 was closed for several hours, reopening around 8:00 a.m.
