WILTON MANORS, FL - Police said a speeding SUV crashed in Broward County Sunday morning, leaving the driver seriously injured.
According to WPLG, the driver was heading south on Dixie Highway in a Ford Expedition and struck a pole at the intersection of Wilton Drive and NE 26th Street in Wilton Manors. The impact caused the pole to hit a nearby bank.
The driver was transported to an area hospital, but no further details were released on the person's condition. No one else was in the vehicle at the time.
The crash left the SUV badly mangled and scattered debris through the area.
Police are trying to determine what caused the wreck.
