WEST PARK, FL - A chase by law enforcement authorities ended with a crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 95 Wednesday, WPLG reported.
The incident began with a report of shots fired in West Park at about 5 a.m., in the vicinity of Southwest 24th Street and 52nd Avenue.
Broward County Sheriff's Office deputies spotted a Nissan leaving the scene with four people inside, and began pursuing the vehicle onto I-95. The vehicle ended up crashing off Ives Dairy Road in Miami Daly County, with at least two other vehicles involved in the wreck.
One driver was hospitalized with minor injuries. The Nissan's driver was arrested, and the three passengers detained for questioning.
The accident left two lanes of I-95 shut down to traffic.
