FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - A child on a bicycle was rushed to the hospital in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle in a residential neighborhood Wednesday evening.
According to NBC Miami, the incident was reported at the intersection of Silver Palm Boulevard and Northwest 12th Street near the Tot Lot Playground in the Sunrise neighborhood at about 5:30 p.m.
The child was transported to Broward Medical Center to be treated for potentially serious injuries.
The vehicle involved remained at the scene of the crash. Police could be seen speaking to two individuals, but their identities and potential role in the incident have not yet been made available.
