FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - Officials with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department took a man into custody on suspected drunk driving charges after he crashed in to a parked car and light pole Wednesday morning.
According to WSVN, witnesses saw a black SUV hit a parked Hummer near the intersection of Northwest 4th Street and 3rd Avenue shortly after 1 a.m.
The driver then backed into a light pole, struck the Hummer a second time, and then attempted to flee. Officers pulled the man over and conducted a field sobriety test, which he failed.
Police then took the man into custody. He has been identified as 36-year-old Brandon Wilson.
No injuries have been reported.
