HOLLYWOOD, FL - A 15-year-old boy was killed Saturday night after being ejected from the bed of a truck that was driven by another 15-year-old.
According to the Miami Herald, the incident occurred along I-95 south of Hollywood Boulevard, shortly before 8:30 p.m..
Investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol believe the driver of the truck attempted to make a lane change on the interstate when he struck a sedan in the next lane and spun out. The truck hit a guardrail and a disabled vehicle in the shoulder, ejecting a passenger who was riding in the bed.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. The driver and three occupants in the truck's cab were all wearing seatbelts and were unharmed in the crash.
