LAUDERHILL, FL - Police in Lauderhill are continuing their search for the suspect involved in a hit-and-run that killed a woman and injured three others Monday morning.
According to WSVN, the accident happened near the intersection of State Road 7 and Northwest 16th Street shortly before 11:00 a.m.
Police say a red SUV crashed into a green BMW before overturning. Shortly after the accident occurred, another vehicle picked up the occupants of the BMW—a driver and two children—and left the scene before emergency services arrived.
One female occupant in the SUV was airlifted to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. A male occupant remains in critical condition as of Tuesday.
Police have since located the children, who sustained minor injuries in the crash. Investigators have also identified the driver of the BMW. However, they are still trying to locate the suspect.
