LAUDERHILL, FL - A collision sent a car into a bus stop in Lauderhill Monday morning, killing the vehicle's driver.
WPLG reports that a BMW and a Mercedes-Benz were involved in an accident in the area of Northwest 16th Street and North State Road 7 at about 1:30 a.m.

According to police, the BMW was believed to have been speeding at the time, and collided with the Mercedes as it was making a left onto Northwest 16th Street. The impact caused the BMW to crash into a nearby bus stop. Its driver was pronounced dead of his injuries at Broward Health Medical Center.
The driver of the Mercedes was not hurt. The scene was shut down for the crash investigation, and drivers were advised to use Northwest 31st Avenue to get around the area.
