DELRAY BEACH, FL - A woman from Boca Raton was killed while attempting to cross a busy street east of Delray Beach early Sunday morning.

According to Boca News Now, 55-year-old Deborah Meyer was crossing Atlantic Avenue at 5th Avenue when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle at about 1:40 a.m.

Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. No charges are expected to be filed against the driver involved in the crash, who has been identified as Jeff Altidore. Police believe Altidore had the right of way at the time of the accident.
