BOYNTON BEACH, FL - Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal rear-end collision on I-95 early Sunday morning.

According to Local 10, the accident was reported in the northbound lanes of I-95 near the exit to Southwest 10th Street.

Officials believe a driver failed to notice slowed traffic in front of them and collided with the rear of another vehicle at a high rate of speed. One person in the first vehicle, a passenger in the back seat who was not wearing a seatbelt, died as a result of the crash.

It is unclear whether anyone else was hurt.
