FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - Two people experienced a close call Monday morning when a vehicle crashed near where they were walking in Fort Lauderdale.
WSVN reports an SUV slammed into the side of a building on the 2800 block of Sunrise Boulevard, where the couple was out for a walk. The incident was captured on surveillance video.
Two Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue firefighters responded to the scene after hearing the crash. One of them told a reporter the two people "were seconds away from getting hit."
The driver of the SUV was transported to a hospital, but no details on the person's condition were immediately released.
